Fordham University – Jumping into the MISSION. A special day with a VERY special guest!
Fordham University Athletics invited the Winning with Class MISSION to its annual Athletic Banquet which honors those Ram student-athletes who achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher – close to 400 athletes! It was a special day, which started with mass in the morning and proceeded to the brunch event. The day was then made perfect as we were able to host an Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation Hero Ambassador family. The Smiths were led by their daughter, Bridget, who is a childhood cancer fighter – and survivor! Below, Bridget is proudly holding the check from Fordham for $2,000! Thank you Bridget – keep fighting the good fight. And, thank you Fordham for a great day celebrating Winning with Class and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation!!!
What They’re Saying……
“I know that I speak for all of the student athletes. who were lucky enough to hear you speak at our honors breakfast when I say that we were all deeply moved by your words, and even more by your devotion to a life-changing enterprise. (The students spoke about your address at the end of the program and went forth energized to be ever more fully the ‘men and women for others’ that we encourage them to be.)”
The Reverend Joseph M. McShane, SJ
President, Fordham University
“It was great having you with us. Your words were right on. What you are doing is very much-needed at all levels of athletics. I commend you for highlighting positive roles models for all athletes to emulate.”
