I’m sure most people see this site and think a couple of things. Words and images like sportsmanship, shaking hands before games, saying the little league pledge before a game, helping the opponent up off the floor, and other similar positive gestures certainly come to mind when one hears the phrase Winning with Class. These are all things that should be on our minds and encouraged in the sports world. However, the phrase Winning with Class, and the overall purpose of this website, are much deeper than this. As mentioned in other posts, it’s about building your internal foundation so that the phrase becomes your WAY OF LIFE. Once you figure out what Winning with Class truly means you YOU, you then proceed to apply it to EVERYTHING you do. So, the attitude doesn’t end with the final buzzer of the game, or the final handshake, but rather, it continues on to dictate how you interact with your family, the way you act in school, in your community, and in every single one of your life’s pursuits. This may appear to be something that is simple to grasp. That’s because the notion – living your life in a Winning with Class way – IS simple to understand. The simplicity of idea, however, cannot allow us to even consider that this is anything close to an EASY way to go. The exact opposite is true – Winning with Class is HARD. VERY HARD. The good news? The difficulty and challenge that comes along with Winning LIFE with Class is one of the main reasons that makes it not only a path worth pursuing, but simply put, the ONLY path worth pursuing. To live your LIFE in a Winning with Class manner does not mean it will be without mistakes. Perfection is not the goal. After all, the one thing we have in common is that we are all HUMAN, which, by definition, means that we will not be perfect. However, when you fight the good fight and strive to Win Every Day with Class, it will lead to a life that minimizes regret. When this happens, you will be able to look that person in the mirror directly in the eyes at the end of every day and say goodnight to him or her with PRIDE and CONTENTMENT. Let’s all get there…..
Keep Winning with Class….
